Why This College Essay Needs to Be 200 Words

Why This College Essay Needs to Be 200 WordsIf you're trying to get into a certain university, or you're applying for an internship, you might want to consider a college essay of at least 200 words. The reason why is because if you can get in, your chances are good that they will even be considering your application. While college essays are fairly common and for good reason; they help you set yourself apart from the other applicants that come through the door.As you probably know, high school students usually have essays that are a lot shorter than what you'll need for your college. This is not really the way to go about it though. You need to keep it short but not so short that it's an embarrassment to your current degree and not relevant to what you'll be doing. If you find that you can't come up with anything, then you need to write a short one. After all, we're looking for one to two pages of detail. The reason for this is because a short one is easier to read. When you have a lo t to say, you need to make sure that the entire piece is well written. One thing that will help you in this area is to write with the first person present tense. This means that everything that you say should be for the first person, such as 'I am Jennifer', instead of 'She is Jennifer'. Your first sentence needs to do three things.First, it needs to describe your reasoning behind why you're writing the essay. Second, it needs to explain what you learned as well as give examples. Third, it needs to address any criticisms of you or your potential employer's.In this case, I recommend that you write your college essay with the first person present tense. This will make it easier for you to talk about your experiences and feelings without making it too personal. It'll also make it easier for you to remember what you're saying since you won't be reading it through the eyes of a reader but one of the characters in the piece.Last, you'll want to make sure that you use the third person whene ver possible. This means that when you're speaking to another character, such as a professor, you'll be referring to them by name. They'll still be thinking of you as that person; just like if you were having a conversation with them.
